Conclusions

If Internet and the new ICT's are a common context for each European country, the local situations are very specific. What is common is, mainly, the fact that the technological development plays a leading role, producing new practices, especially by young users. The researches and the educational initiatives are following the shockwaves of the practices, trying to see what is happening, and to answer to fresh emerging questions.

The major or those questions is undoubtedly :

• "What is exactly the nature of the new power acquired by youngsters using media ?"
• "How do young people consider and use this new power ?"

The formulation of this new research issues will be the center of the next step of the Mediappro project.
